Usage Tips
Faxing a Microsoft Project view
E-mail to Fax will fax the active view, as of the
time the document was last saved, or as of the moment you emailed
it directly from the MS Project menu using File -- Send To
Microsoft PowerPoint tips
If your document contains many unusual TrueType
fonts, you should save your document with the Embed TrueType Fbnts
option checked to make sure SwissFax can use them when converting
the presentation into a fax.
Make sure all graphics, clip art, and the like
are embedded in (or were copied directly into) your document, not
just linked to. Embedding an object means the object is actually
saved as part of the document itself. Linking it means the object
is not stored with the document, but is "called up" every time you
view or print it. Typically, you "link' to objects which are on
your own PC or your company's network. If any graphics or other
objects in your document are "linked" instead of "embedded," E-mail
to Fax will try to retrieve them -from your hard drive or your company
a network-and wiIl, of course, be unable to.
E-mail to Fax will print all your slides, inclusive
of hidden slides, with colors and colored backgrounds translated
to grayscale.
Lotus Notes tips
Lotus Notes provides some 30 email formatting templates
you can use when sending an email message. of these, 20 are completely
compatible wth E-mail to Fax.
The other 10 affempt to embed a graphic image with
your email's body text, but when your message is converted into
Internet email by Lotus Notes (or Domino) and arrives at SwissFax.com,
it looks to E-mail to Fax like an extra attachment. As a result,
the appearance of your message as a fax could be different from
its appearance in your Notes outbox, and an extra page (of your
email template's image or logo) might be generated. To prevent this,
please use one of the non-graphical templates for emails you send
through E-mail to Fax.
